Training 3, demystified
It's not all circles.
Brief notes from last night's lesson: Dressage lesson - Training level test 3 practice. Halt: Better to go for square and early than fuss to keep her going and step out and lose a point anyways. Turn left at E doesn't have to be a perfect turn from the shoulder, maybe 2-3 steps around the corner, but not a quarter circle, either. Make good 20 meter circles with clear change of circle at X (not a diagonal line). Watch down trans from canter--1/2 circles at E, not just another circle. Free walk is short diagonal, don't throw reins away entirely. Get well round before stretch down trot circle at C.
So when they say "straight ahead", they mean it, don't just make another circle, dolt.
