Road work

The farrier came and trimmed up the horses, then I did some flatwork up on the dirt road with Clover. The ring is full of deep snow around the outside, and a mixture of icy deep wet sand in the middle. The road surface is great, but Clover didn't want to leave the boys, so she was spooky, big, shoulder throwing spooky evasiveness, so I bent her away from anything she tried to spook at and trotted on.

We did a lot of circles, changes of direction (because she was obviously trying to get back home) until she did both directions nicely, and some leg yield, shoulder in and out, and even a couple of steps of half pass at the walk. Clover never really settled 100%, but enough to listen.
