Kingsbury Hill

I think Katrina and Clover deserved a hell of a lot better than 13th overall in their division, their dressage was decent and they had clean jumping rounds. Stadium was a joy to watch, and I hopped with excitement as they jumped each fence. They went clean on cross country, and of the pairs I saw slipping and stumbling over chewed up terrain towards the end of the course, they were the only ones to navigate it cleanly. Let's hear it for barefoot eventing!

In the end, though, 16 time faults dropped them from a solid 8th after stadium to 13th after cross country. But it was a great day, the weather cooperated, Clover was a star and Katrina really had a great time and just cheerfully rose to the occasion.
