Midnight at the indoor
Not really, just the first ride of the season at the UNH indoor … weren’t we just there? What happened to spring and summer?
Tony came along for his first indoor ride on Clover. We had the arena to ourselves and he was comfortable enough working independently from Christine and me, even taking some spins at the canter.
For the most part, I just tried to sat upright and use my seat and abs again after the last two months of galloping around the woods in half seat. Ouch. It’s a start. We figure if we get over to the indoor a night or two a week, and hack on the weekends, that’ll get us through the winter with an early jump on next season–another year of taking a young horse out at beginner novice. I should be all set when it’s time to take Clover’s future baby out!
